As MSH's Chief Technology Officer, Carl plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our software startup's SaaS solution for hiring teams. It’s never about me. It’s always about my people and making sure I help them achieve their goals and their “why.” To be a great leader, you must be selfless.

My motivation can be likened to an onion with multiple layers. At its core, lies the well-being and joy of my immediate family, as their safety and happiness inspire much of what I do.

The following layer entails having a clear sense of purpose in my career, where the fruits of my labor can make a positive impact in the world.

Finally, the outermost layer comprises the thrill and unpredictability of exploring new experiences and discovering the wonders of our planet.

While there is no definite formula for great leadership, I believe that there are fundamental principles that every leader should embrace. These include:
